dinner and lunch?

Went out for dinner last night at Super Tanker with the family of the stepdad, it was mecha mecha umai. I even had white wine! :p Not that I drank much, just a little, but the food there was awesome.

The Thai fish Uncle Siew Pan ordered for the night, was pwnsome. I'm not the type to go for fish usually, cause I detest the bones with a passion, but this one was good! Really nice, and has a nice blend of sourness and sweetness to go with the meat of the fish.

Lamb boiled in soup, or as Kee Jin called it, 'Lamb Kut Teh'. Like 'bak kut teh', just replace the pork with lamb meat? Either way, really good. The soup was milky, and has just the right amount of taste in it, and it has fu chuk in it!

First thing I was greeted with when I stepped in the restaurant. They had this whole wall of aquariums filled with fresh fishes to be eaten, but the first thing my eyes zeroed in was the eels! Freaky eels who looked like they were going to eat you up if they could fit you in their mouths. But heck, unagi is still delicious. :p

Mom went to buy new flowers today at Sungai Buloh! I didn't follow her there, but I took pictures of the flowers she brought back. Lookie!

Pretty, no? Now my garden's no longer a dull green color... not that I don't like the greens. :p

Lunch today was at Bayu Timor! I love the place, they serve the best lamb chop. Lookit!

A little mangled looking cause I messed it up a bit before remembering to take the picture, but its seriously good. My favorite of it is cause it doesn't have those annoying bones for me t cut around, and the potato au gratin that comes with it is pwnsome<3

Their decorations are the awesome cuteness! Look! Cute piggies!

Their actually salt and pepper shakers, but they were the absolute cuteness! And yes, you can actually buythem. I wanted to! But momma said it was a waste of money, dangsit. =.=

Ah well, time to head to brother's house now. *plods off*

day 3 + day 4 of holidays

Cousins attacked me in the morning with makeup and liquid eyeliner. Make up I do, liquid eyeliner not so much, so they were doing it for me. Ended up looking like this.
Do my eyes look bigger? The momzers say it does, and so do my cousins, but I dunno. It looks prettier though. :P The destination that day? Sunway Pyramid. But I only wandered around Asian Avenue in between looking for Mei during her breaks anyway. I've been to pyramid too many times. Got myself a new bag. Ngek.

Oh! And I went to play the arcade Percussion Master game again.

I'm addicted to it, I swear. Everytime I go to a mall with the game, I would definitely go and play it. But heck, the game only takes 15 minutes or so, providing I passed all stages. So the rest of the time, I went to ensconced myself in MPH. For a good solid three or four hours.

Reading romance novels. I haven't touched one in ages! Ever since second sem started. But for the past three days, I've barreled through a good three or four books while waiting for the Titanic aka the family to finish their shopping. And I must say, I miss reading, especially Judith McNaught and Julia Quinn. I love Julia Quinn especially, her writing is exquisite. And i realized how much I miss being a book worm, its been a while. xP

Went for dinner with the Titanic in a coffee shop at Taipan, where we took three tables, 20 minutes of confusion and much clearing of the poor confused waiters, before we finally settled to dinner.

Dinner with family is always an amazing affair at how huge the confusion can get. And this isn't even the full Titanic. Throw in the rest thats still in Penang and Sungai Petani, and you'll have to multiply the confusion by ten. Its always amusing to watch. :P

Went home after that, and our youngest, most playful uncle bought a couple of tricks to play with us. A tub of 'blood', rubber rat and rubber snake. So amusing. xD Words don't do justice, look!

Terrifying? we were in hysterics over it for half the night. :P And then my cousins and I went out for a late night movie, the one made in Singapore, 'Where Got Ghost?'. It was.... I don't know if I should call it a horror or comedy, since I laughed my head off, but when the ghost came out i had my hands over my eyes perpetually all the time. xP Its not bad a movie, but essentially it still has its horror aspects. :p

Went to sleep at 2.30 am that night... or morning, depending on how you see it. And we were dug up at 9 the next morning, cause we were headed for Ikea/The Curve/ Ikano. First things first though, the Titanic headed to breakfast at some Hailan shop. Again, confusion ensued. Oh, plus the three tables too. :p

I spent most of the time at The Curve in Borders though, as usual being my bookworm self. But didn't manage to finish the book! So I had to buy it. =.=

They're going home tomorrow! ;_; I don't want them to go home.

senjyu sushi @ sunway pyramid<3

Its a new restaurant I think, if I'm not mistaken. I've been wanting to try it out for quite a while now, but just got the chance today, where I dragged my mom and step dad there. For the clueless, Senjyu Sushi has two outlets, one in Sunway Pyramid, and the other at Cineleisure. I went to the one at Pyramid, which is located at the cinema area, the floor before that. What really amused me was this, when I first went in and sat at my place.

Self-made wasabi zomg so cute! And it doesn't taste like it has any additives too, so I think they really do make their own wasabi, which imo, is darn cute.

Other then that, they're ambience is really nice, but the food... not everything is major super awesome, but there are a few which aren't bad, actually. Like my yakiniku don.
I love the beef, cause it really has enough seasonings, but my favorite part is that they use fully Japanese rice for their rice. Other Japanese restaurants I've been too, I'm quite sure they mix the rice, normal and Japanese. But this one... I'm not a connoisseur, but I'm pretty sure its fully Japanese. :P

They had mentaiko on their agetoufu! Admittedly, the portion was so small I could hardly taste it, but MENTAIKO<3333

My dessert, vanilla ice cream wrapped in strawberry crepe, nothing special. But I thought it looked pretty. =p

Overall, I really like some of the dishes in Senjyu Sushi, but its pretty pricey, so unless its a special occasion, I wouldn't go back there. I wouldn't mind eating the yakiniku don and agetoufu again though, the latter just for the mentaiko. :p

Oh! And I went to Nichii after dinner, and got myself this.

Kawaii deshou? Its so adorable, the mini flying plane as a pendant! :p Its gona go awesomely with my black tops. I got myself a white top for my formal wear presentation next week too, but lets save the picture for when I actually wear it, no?

College starts again tomorrow. *groans*

outing is funz. :P

Oh! I forgot to mention. I never knew my Globalization class would involve so much designing! From posters, to campaign, and everything to be done by hand. And I'm hopeless at drawing. So usually I'll let Mason do the drawing and I'll just sit there and collect dust. But last week,

Mason was sick dammits. The guy could barely think, much less draw. So I had no choice but TO draw, since Akram refuses to draw, and Kahar, Naveen and Annie are all in another group. So I drew.
And ended up with that. Don't ever ask me to draw. Period.

=.=

Anyway! Holiday for the Pre-U students at Sunway College today, cause all the lecturers had to attend some conference, so I ajak-ed Sophia and Mei out. Mei came later, but me and Soph went to watch The Proposal at Pyramid. :p

Eating at KFC beforehand. Which by the way, I've been itching to try their Cheesy Chikalicious thingy for weeks now, but now that I've eaten it, its nothing big. Just meatballs. And they're the instant type, not even the real meat ones. Pssh.

The Proposal was a really good movie too! Very good. At first I was scared the heroine would be too domineering for the guy, but in the end, it managed to balance out very nicely, and the ending was very sweet too! Gamma pwns, just cause she's awesome. :p I recommend the Proposal to EVERYONEE. :p

Movie ended at 4. Then Mei came to look for me and Sophia, and we went a little insane, and did things like this.
Sophia had to catch Mei by her shoulders to keep her in the picture. =p

But Mei damn cute right! People say her cute she tak mau, but she super cute, like baby like that. See!

I rest my case. ^-^ And I have Japanese class tomorrow wtf. Damn lazy to go, but its the only time i can go, and its the most conveniant for me. I'm not even sure if its reliable, but I might as well give it a try. *yawns*

i need haircut + movie<3

I need a haircut. I can barely see anything when I comb my frinch down, and I hate parting it to the side cause I look so odd. Rawr. Too lazy to cut myself.... probably will do it later though. Don't wana go to college looking like Ju-On reincarnated.

Anyway! Remember what I said about watching a movie a couple of days ago? It was 'Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past', and I have to say, it wasn't all that bad, even if its essentially such a guy movie. I kept going 'such an ass' at the beginning of the movie, cause the hero, Connor Mead, is really an ass of a womanizer.

Connor Mead, reknown photographer, known for taking pictures of skanky whores and trying to kill them by asking a 6th placer Olympic archer from Japan to shoot an arrow through the apple on her head, but thats not the point. Point is, his known for never keeping a girl for long. Heck, he broke up with three of them at once, whilst having another girl waiting for him on the couch in his studio! Tell you much?

But apparently, Connor has one love. His first and true love, his childhood friend, Jenny Perotti, whom he scorned because he was afraid of commitment, and he left her years ago. They meet at his brother's wedding, where Connor was forced to face his past, present, and bleak future if he continued as he was, the womanizer he wanted to be. Three ghosts came to him, one of the past, one from his present, and another from future.

I'm going to stop now, in case I give out spoilers, but I have to say, it wasn't all that bad. Really sweet towards the ending, and how Connor still went back to Jenny. I like the concept of one love for a lifetime, but thats just me being the romantic I am. xP I have to say, the ghost of girlfriend future was gorgeous though! If I'm not mistaken, she was Olga Maliok, a model or something. Darn gorgeous.

On another note, I just came back from my Bio Topic Test 1. Wouldn't say I did good, but probably better then Econs, which I screwed so badly I feel like stabbing myself. = ( The only thing I'm looking forward to is the Sunday movie I have date with Sophia. The Proposal. Lene said it was good, so I'm giving it a shot. xP

weekly update! again.

This is turning in to some updated weekly blog wtf. xD Not that I intended it that way, but college is seriously way too crazy for me to update, that, and the fact that other then waking up, driving to college, class class class and then coming back home again, nothing else has been happening anyway. Mundane? More like BORING. With a huge capital B.

So here's random pictures from the week, college and otherwise.

Bubble Tea<333 The only thing that keeps me awake in Bio B class after a looong day. And Miss Lene's reward at the end of every week in college wtf. ;P
Eating fest in Glob class is a norm. The whole gang of us brings in like, different food items, and its like a picnic while we study. Mason drinks way too much tea, and Kahar + Naveen = chaos, but its amusing. xD Makes my life interesting anyway, and Miss Uma's sarcasm pwns. :p

Poor Bobdog got an operation last Wednesday, to remove some growth on his skin. The hunny is stuck with the Elizabethen collar for a whole ten days, just to restrain him from biting the incision. xDDD His adorable though! The way he moves SO CAREFULLY to avoid banging in to things, cause he can't see a thing with that contraption around his head. xP

Strawberries from Cameron Highlands! Delicious I tell you. I ate them together with vanilla ice cream, and it was heavennn~ Aunt brought them down, but they were going mouldy within a day, so we finished the whole lot.

Awesome chocolate fruitcake my aunt's friend made. It had a bit of alcohol in it too, a little bitter, but oh so chocolatey, it melted in my mouth. Literally.

Went to some Hakka cuisine restaurant in Pyramid today, and I have to say, the food wasn't all that good. Mom and uncle got a few dishes,a nd the only one I really liked was the bitter gourd with salted egg sauce, and thats only cause I like the salted egg. The rest were just normal stuff.

Teapot looked awesomely cool though. I think it was made of copper or something, cause it was pretty heavy, and I'm sure it costed a bomb to get, but I loved it. Probably only give the restaurant only a 4/10 though, cause the food was nothing to scream about.

Sleep time now. Have to go to brother's house tomorrow to babysit cause he wouldn't be around. I hate getting stuck in the middle sometimes, but its family. Rawr. Can't wait for movie marathon with Ben and Shien on Sunday. Wee!

sakae sushi @ subang parade

Remember my blog post from a few days ago? Where I said I went to eat at Sakae Sushi in Subang Parade for dinner? Well, let me just clarify one thing. I love Japanese food, really, I adore it. And the food in Sakae Sushi is delicious, especially their black plate promotion each month. It differs, and this month its oyster and its absolutely awesome.

Their black plate dishes. These two are some... oyster crepe wrapped thing. I don't remember their names, but it was cho umai! Which means super delicious in japanese. There was another one we called, the oyster Chawan Moshi, but... it didn't came. Which brings me to the main point.

Their service. Sucks. Shit. I'm not stereotyping the whole Sakae Sushi branch, just the one at Subang Parade.

First off, they used an online ordering system. Seems cool? It is! I love using it, and it makes my life easier. But not when you have to wait for half an hour for each dish to come out, and then halfway through your mail, some waiter comes to your table, asks if all of your dishes have came yet, and when you say no, he proceeds to copy your dishes from the things you ordered on screen, and going back to the kitchen.

I mean, hello! If you're gona get us to order through the computer, use it goddamn and don't come and do a proper order that way! You're losing the point of things. =.=

And all I ordered was one sukiyaki, one gyudon, and one tama unagi don! It took them one hour to serve everything, and they didn't even manage to serve my mom's oyster chawan moshi and the azuki ocha ice cream waffle we ordered. My mom got so annoyed at the end that she just cancelled the last two and walked out. We came in at 7.45 pm, we left at 9. An hour and 15 minutes, and I didn't even get all my order. Service? Down the drain.

I got so bored while waiting I even started camwhoring with the reflective surface next to my table. And I'm not the type to use the camera whilst dinner. Before dinner, just when the food comes, yes. But not in the middle of it. And this was when I was done with the sukiyaki and oyster crepes, and waiting for my dons. =.=

So I suggest, go take Sakae Sushi by all means, seriously! Their food is good. Just don't go to the Subang Parade branch. At least not at dinner time. They have no idea how to manage stuff when its hectic.

my ds is dead. ;_;

Went out yesterday with Shien and Ben again, to watch Ice Age 3.

The guy in question actually had Baskin Robbins for breakfast, before we went for our 12.10 movie, believe it or not. xD I never had ice-cream so early in the morning before, but I still stole a mouthful to it. :p

It wasn't bad actually, for a third installment. I find Manny's devotion to Ellie very amusing, despite being an anxious father-to-be, but the one I find the cutest has got to be the baby dinosours with their huge eyes and adoring looks for Sid. The mother T-rex was a softie though, but I find it cute how she sort of protected Sid after a while.

Perhaps the one I find most wronged was Diego though. The saber tooth seriously needs a mate. Perhaps a fourth installement? But then again, I don't see how can they make another one without flopping. Yes I have a thing against sequels, especially after the disaster that is Meteor Garden 2.

After the movie, the three of us went to Kim Gary's for lunch. I wanted to try out their cheese baked rice anyway.

Very good, very worth it, for a Rm16.90 lunch that came with a drink, a soup, and pudding, it wasn't bad at all. My only complaint was that the cheese rice was very filling, and too huge a helping for one person, but then again, if it were someone with a big apetite, they can easily finish it, no?

Ben was being an idiot. xD Me and Shien couldn't finish our drinks, mini was a Milo ice, while Shien's was lemon Coke. So we both pushed our drinks to Ben, and he decided to drink them together, and he said they actually tasted nice? I wouldn't know, not dumb enough to try. xD

The bill that day. Mine was soup+cheese rice+dessert = 16.90, Ben's was cheese rice+drink=17.90. See the difference? xD Shien's was probably the cheapest, 12.90 nia. xD

Argh. Last day of holidays, I thought I wanted to spend it gaming. But oh joy to the world, after 3months of not touching my NDS due to holidays, I pulled it out of the drawer to find that any new games i install won't effing show up, and I don't know whats wrong with it. I tried reformatting it but its not working.

:(

Super sad now. I love my NDS, and I'm a very semi-hardcore gamer as well. I need it fixed, or I just might not have the mood to start college. T-T

one day out! 17 again. :P

My two accomplices for the day. :P

Went out to temple at 9.30 that day to help Ben and Shien on the mural we were doing for the temple. I was technically supposed to be there at 9, but I... eh, woke up late. :p

So all we did that day was basically draw the grid for the picture, and then filled in the boxes with a smaller version of the picture Ben drew on paper... Did that make sense? Aish! Point is, we were to draw on the wall la. But I phail at drawing, if you don't know yet. My drawings are horrible. I can't even draw a straight line! If i try drawing a cow, it'll end up looking like a football with ears.

Yes, that little round thing on the paper that Sakurai Sho of Arashi drew is supposed to be a cow. Arashi is my fangirl love, but point is. I'm as bad as him when it comes to drawing.

But heck, Ben says draw, so me and Shien draw. Don't blame me if the arm comes out looking like a tree trunk. :p Sometimes though, me and Shien would end up slacking while Ben the 'Future Architect' (chewah wtf. :P) corrects our drawings, so we do things like this.

Typical when it comes to girls, no? xD

At 11.30 though, we kept our stuff and went to change, before driving to Pyramid to watch 17 Again. Before the movie started at 12.10 though, we had some time to kill, so the three of us headed to the arcade, where me and Shien played this ridiculous, yet utterly cute game. xD

It involves the pushing of that red and blue joystick in to each other and avoiding things, and if I'm not mistaken, involves a little of teamwork too, in certain games. In other games though, its just a question of being mean and pushing the other to its death. xD Its really fun! Me and Shien were screaming the place down. Apparently, Ben wanted nothing to do with us then. :p

And then, we went in to watch 17 Again after the game, and the movie was actually quite good.

The story was about Michael O'Donnell, a star athelete with a full college scholarship guarenteed if he impressed the college scouts, whose also dating the prettiest girl in school. However, on the day of the big game itself, Scarlette, his girlfriend, informed him that he was pregnant. That moment, Mike threw everything away, including scholarship and basketball, and proposed to him.

20 years later, they were divorcing, his life was in shambles it seemes, and Mike moved in with his geeky, millionaire best friend Ned Gold.

But! He was given the chance to relive his life once again, when he was magically transformed back to his 17 year old self. At first, Mike thought he was to get his life on the right track, scholarship and all, but after attending Hayden High, he realized that his true goal was to help his children, and made friends with his son. Using a pseudonym and posing as Ned's son, he helps Alex as well as Maggie, and at the same time, helps Scarlet in her new job, a landscape designer. At the same time, ned fell in love with Hayden High's principal, Jane Masterson. Sequences of Ned trying to woe her was hilarious, and a definite must to see.

The rest of the synopsis can be found at Wikipedia, but the gist is that Mike finally reconciled with his family, and now was the high school basketball team's coach. Its a very nice story, filled with comedy and yet, has its sweet, poignant moments. Although I found it odd sometimes when Mike, the 17 year old version played by Zac Efron was dancing/kissing with a woman old enough to, literally, be his mother, but I guess it makes sense in a way. its just me.

After the movie, we went to eat at McD, where the two of them proceeded to fill my head with highly... amusing scenes from the movie Love Guru, which remind me, to never ever watch it with my mom. And then I headed home at 2.30. Spent 2 hours and a half doing my nails, and ended with this.

I like this one! All red and shiny and bedazzled. :p Anyway, I'm darn tired now, and super sleep, so I should head to bed. Malaysian Studies again tomorrow. *groan*
