valentines day!

Coincidences of all coincidences, Valentines day and the first day of the Lunar New Year falls on the same day today! I got a shock when I found out. So amused, at the same time pleasantly surprised. Not that it'll make a difference to me since one, I'm not attached, and two, I'll pick CNY over Valentines day anyday. If you guys read this blog, you'll know I prioritize my darlings over anything.

But Valentines day... hmm, too cliche if you give flowers. They wilt and die in a couple of days, and I've always personally found bouquet of flowers a hassle. I only received one before, from my momma. But it was heavy and just... a waste of space once it wilts. To me? Call me odd, but I prefer a single stalk of rose.

To me? Its more... singular. Pure. I somehow found a single stalk of rose much more entrancing then a whole bouquet. Why go through the cash and hassle? A single stalk is cheaper, and much easier to carry around. And its pretty too! If something is pretty enough, no accompaniments are needed to prettify it, no? So instead of a bouquet, go for a single stalk.

Or maybe... not flowers? How about a huge teddy!

Cliche, but true? I dunno. I never seem to be able to resist a huge soft toy shoved in me, the bigger the better. Of course, I'm not asking you guys to splash a fortune on your girl, just buy one she can cuddle up to and feel as if she's hugging you, and thats pretty much enough. Not as huge as a human please. But cuddling is comforting, and girl's love comfort. I may not be the girliest girl out there, but huge cuddly soft toys gets YES. 8D

Date with movies, and a romantic dinner in a restaurant? Skip the fancy pansies. We like it if you do it yourself.

So why not fix a dinner at home? Grab a DVD, prepare a simple dinner and go on the sofa and watch a movie while you're eating something you know would cost you a bomb and is probably laced with preservatives. Saves money, gets you an awesome night of memories. Or better yet, skip the movie and go play a game of twister or something. Whats the fun playing only with two people? Trust me, its fun if you get the right person.

As for me, I'll be celebrating CNY. I probably won't even realize its Valentines, because... I really cbb. With my darlings, CNY is all I need. 8D

make a teddy!

My momma's birthday is this Monday, and i had been wracking my head for what to give her, because seriously, the momma isn't the easiest person to please. She's picky on her clothes, particular about her perfume, and very selective on her make up stuff. So... yeah. I wouldn't want to get her something she didn't use, so guess what I ended up giving her?

I gave her a teddy! Not just any teddy, a teddy I made myself. There's a shop in Sunway Pyramid, topmost floor of the old wing, near the bowling alley. Its a shop filled with teddies, and you can make your own personal teddy there!

First you pick out a teddy from the many available there for you to choose from. There are more then what's shown in the picture, my camera's just not wide enough to capture it. Once you choose your teddy,

Then you pick a music box! Or you could opt for a voice recording too, but that will cause extra. There really isn't much selection on the music though, so I'll recommend going for the voice recording, which costs 12.90.

You'll also be given a heart, and a birth certificate! The heart is for your teddy, make a wish before you put it in! 8D

And then proceed to stuff your teddy! Can't make a teddy without its meat now can we? There's no limit to the stuffings you can use, so just shove as much as you can inside. Put the music box in to, wherever you want to put it. I put mine in its hand, a conventional one, but you can put it in its ear if you wanna. Remember to put the heart in!

Then fill in the birth cert! The shopkeeper will tell you the height of your bear, and actually weigh your bear for you once you're done! xP

But poor teddy looks so naked no? The boy needs some clothes, so go pick some for him!... Or her. They have a wide variety of clothes, though its not included in the 'Make-a-Teddy' package. The clothes are separately priced, but not overly expensive.

Miss Shopkeeper will help you dress teddy up, lest you tear his poor clothing.

And you're done! Teddy comes along with its own house, the box you see my teddy leaning on. My cost didn't surpass a hundred, but I can't reveal the real price here cause darling teddy is meant to be a present and I don't want Momma to find out the price. But its not overly pricy, and a handmade teddy bear is special! So... yeah, go try it? xP

imma child. 8D

See my blog header? I can tell you the one thing it has in my common with my room, other then me, myself and I. See the amount of soft toys? I love them. I adore stuffed animals, and even if I can't hug every single one I have to sleep as much as I want to, I still adore them. And i have tonnes. Okay not mountains, but many enough. :P Collected from the years, some whined from my mother, some bought willingly.

My second oldest toy! Its a white seal my momma bought for me when... ah dang, I don't even remember myself. Its just... been there all the while. Its very cuddly, or used to be anyway. Now its fur is all grayish and hard, but I still keep it in my cupboard. 8D

A tiger bought from Sunway Lagoon! I forgot how old was I. Around 10? 11? I'm not so sure, but I think this was one of the ones I whined from my momma to get, and she relented. >D

Doggeh! My friend got it for me for my... thirteenth birthday party? I think so. I'm not so sure how old was i, but that was the only year I had a birthday party for myself, since I never really wanted one. But this doggy was one of the presents, and its very cuddly. xP

Teddy! My only teddy bear, and the one my momma bought back for me from Hong Kong. Its fur used to be a very glossy gold, but now its all brown. Its one of the four toys thats on my bed though, and sleeps with me. 8D

Pikachu! My aunt bought this for me, and is hella huge. I use to use it as a horse or something back when I was younger I think. xP Now its all flat and black and its tail came off, but I still keep it on top of my cupboard. :P It won't fit IN the cupboard.

Another doggy! This one is more recent though, a soft fluffy one momma bought for me last year. xP Its fur is still soft and fluffy, but its gone sorta gray. D8 But I still hug it! It joins teddy on my bed with me. 8D

Cowwww. Its like, a soft cuddly cow who can be unbuttoned in to a pillow, and its head is way too heavy for its body. But its cuddly and sleeps on my bed too! :P

Remember my second oldest one, the seal? Well lets introduce you to my oldest companion.

My pillow<3>D

But heck, age is no limit for soft toys! Everyone can haz soft toys right? Even an eighteen year old girl. 8D

I want this one now. Its in Genting. Anyone kind enough to get it for me? D: I fail at ring toss.

your definition of cute?

What would you call cute? Something like this?
Cute mushy with squishy head! I've been having a penchance for them lately, even if the momzer's calls the material 'disgusting. xP

Or maybe a cute maltese!
Who is adorable, might I add. I would die to own a maltese like that. Been my dream dog since I watched FTYL! Either a cute lil maltese, or a schanuzer, who looks so darn regal, but I'm off topic.

See, today in Biology class, our topic today was on respiration, and there was this picture of this animal called at axolotl or something on it. Somethig like this.
They called it cute. O.O

I on the other hand, called the picture on the other page cute!
Its a monk seal swiming! Isn't it the cutest thing ever! So squishy and round, and the flipper is so cute!

Lene calls my sense of cuteness skewed. =.= So whats your definition of cuteness?

random updates v3.

Naomi-san brought this back from Japan from me. Guess what are they? Nope, not biscuits, not toys, and its not a book either. A book from Japan is of no use to me, I can't even understand 50% of romaji, much less kanji.

Its mooncakes! And the cutest usami-chan mooncakes ever! Look adorable.

Its a tad too sweet, but its very soft, the texture, and very smooth. Delicious. I can't bear to eat the rest now. They look too bloody cute!

Guess what I've been doing lately? Just finished my Biology A exam today, so... yeap, I've been studying.

Now my brain is so saturated with antidiuretic hormones and hypotalamus's and collecting ducts that I need to unwiinnnddd. So yes, this blog post is going to be pretty random.

What usually happens in Globalization class if someone comes in late. Thats Zooeyd by the way.

The one this time would be Vincent. :p Miss Uma is a very sweet teacher, but she's also very strict. xP Its amusing though, when you're not on the receiving end of her tongue, and I adore the class. xP

Charity sale by MUFY moral today! I couldn't help though, with the selling, since I had class from 12.15 to 2.45, and the sale was from 12 to 3, so I couldn't do much. I did go there slightly early and take pictures though!

My stall! Its selling puddings and custard, which is cho umai!<3 style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtt0zo9tTGuJOaZkiCCVlvyKIgOUSUtf0688E9Hj9mJ-tAjR7bg3PezLrel_r8N7h1uQynsguTRY2U8Ur0t_dXZmTlDNzsPE5cDOdMCc9ql8rK1TPLSKdsfkFkZ_itc04gg3eOrHxjr2iG/s320/100_3964.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5387240321951601266" border="0">Jessica with the nugget, and Wee Ni, at their own stall. Both wearing purple sommore. xD

They were using a rice cooker to fry the nuggets! Or... at least it looks like a rice cooker to me anyway. :p
The fishing game they had, the one with the metal rim and the paper in the middle to act as the net, which was fun! I caught only about 2, the rest was caught for me by Wei Qing and Xian Wei, but now I has fishies in my room, colorful ones!

Now off to some relaxation... and preparing for my presentation tomorrow. ;_;

bartender go boom!

I found the cutest game! Well, actually, Joyce introduced it to me. The boredom of Malaysian Studies does that to you. We were fiddling around with Jo's laptop, when she suddenly decided to play a random game. And I sorta got addicted to it. :P

Its called Bartender: The Right Mix, at http//y8.com, and its amazingly random, but amazingly cute. xD

See, all you have to do is mix a cocktail for the bartender to drink. If you're lucky, all you're going to get is a non-chalant look like this.
Or if you're even luckier, your cocktail might have him becoming a sudden rock star like so.
But the most fun stuff happens when you whack it up. Of course, who wouldn't want to see a bartender getting sick cause of one cocktail?

or perhaps, you'd rather see your bartender choking to his death, because of your cocktail again?
Ooh! Maybe you'd like to see him have a 16 tonne weight dropped on him, for apparently no reason other then the cocktail you make?
Sometimes, he'll even throw a party when what you made didn't kill him... not that his very enthusiastic. Hmm, I wonder if he wants you to kill him?
And of course, who can resist, fire-breathing bartender? Not me. xP
And there are tons of selection to mix too! There's Cranberry, Orange and other juices, champagne, vodka, gin, tonic, absinthe, and even some odd named ones like Creme de Mathes and Triple Sec or something like that. xD Its highly amusing, and if only for one day, can amuse your boring classes or afternoons.

Who knows, maybe if you shake hard enough, you'll get to make him explode.

birds! dogs! lizards...?

Rawr. So its been days since I last updated, but I lost muse. Gomen ne? But I went to The Curve today! And met the most awesome function they have there.

It was some bird fair, not that I really took notice of what or who organized it, but what captivated me were the animals there who looked so impossibly cute!
White parrot, which look absolutely fluffy! No don't ask me what its real species is, I have no idea. :P

Small, colorful parrot! It was smaller then my palm, but so darn mischevious! Its the smallest of the lot, so the handler would usually put this little one on the head of the person taking pictures. Then the rascal will go and nip at the person's hair. xD

Spiderbird! These two are African Gray Parrots or something. They're apparently the smartest of their kind, but these two in particular, never stood at their roosts! All they did was climb around the ceiling of their enclosure all day. Its amusing watching them, and I'm not so sure if they're fighting or showing affection. xD

By far the most gorgeous, handsome bird there! It was a species of owl, I'm not so sure. But the feathers above its eyes were arched upwards, and he looked like some world knowing scholar or something. So darn gorgeous. I wanted to take a picture with him, but it costs ten bucks. T-T

Cutest things there! Tiny chicks and ducklings, which were so noisy and so darn adorable! All fluffy and yellow and cute and innocent. So comfyyyy! I swear, if my room were bigger, I'd so totally buy a four poster bed, complete with curtains and the like. Its like... some princess dream bedroom. Xp

Went to Bubba Gump for dinner, and the food was good!
Run Across America. Which reminds me, the movie Forest Gump a little silly lor! I've never actually watched it, but from what I saw at Bubba Gump, he ran across America for 3 years or something? Not logical, and... >.< Baked seafood cheese rice. Which was so so mouthwateringly good. I think they used Swiss cream or something to make it? It tasted a little like Pizza Uno's Carbonara, but instead, they used baked rice. Very very good.

Caeser salad. I only ate a little of it, but its not b ad at all. Of course, I was never one for greens, so don't take my word for it.

They have a really cool way of calling the waiters to your table too! Say, if you want service, all you have to do is...
Put up the 'Stop Forrest Stop!' sign. And then when you don't want anything,

Put the 'Run Forrest Run!' sign.

There was once, I was just playing with the signs, when the manager whom was walking past suddenly slowed down and looked at me. Heh. Probably wasn't a good idea to play with the signs when its supposed to call the waiters, but my fingers got itchy. Xp All in all though, Bubba Gump is a pretty good place to eat, albeit the price being a little on the high end. I'll give it a 7/10, just cause the food is ridiculously good.

Oh! And guess what I found while at Daiso today?

A cooking timer just like the one Bambi uses in Baccanale, in Bambino! I know, I super jakun, but what to do! Besides, it'll be useful for me when I cook, so I'm happy. :P

And i have a new prized posession!

Arashi Around Asia 2008 Kokuritsu DVD! I've been wanting this for ages! It may cost be 140 bucks, but it was money well spent, for me at least. Its like, my most wanted thing since last year, ever, and now i have it! And I'm going to go rewatch it for the millionth time now! :P
