CHINESE NEW YEAR DAY 2♥ Yeah, spent it at home again. Actually come to think of it, I basically spent every day of my CNY at home. xD

Steamboat that night! So the uncles/brothers were setting up fire and making soup. Yes the men do the soup, or at least watch the fire. xD

Fire for the steamboat soup cooking! We don't use the gas wok cause it uses up too much gas. Charcoal's cheaper when you wanna boil the soup for the whole day.

Ba kien! Pork rolls or something, I dunno. But its mouth wateringly good♥

Golden brown, crisp and all-round awesome!

Steamboat omnomnom! When we were younger, two tables could still fit everybody in the house. Now? Two tables isn't enough. xD We sorta stood up and ate now, and just let the elders and the youngest of the family sit at the seats.

This is what happens if you're unlucky enough to be standing at the washbasin while everyone decides to finish eating at the same time. You're stuck washing a mountain of utensils. But everyone has a turn, so its sorta fair. xD

Awesome sauce oreo cookies and cream Humble Beginnings cake my cousin bought for me. Soooo good♥

And in return, I brought this carrot cake from Subang's La Manila to Penang! xD

Breakfast food in grandmother's house. Its basically ginko and pandan tong sui, which is really good♥

Everyone started learning how to play mahjong on the third day. xD

The three super vain super lovely girl cousins with their blinged nails! xD

Lion dancers! They visit every year, but this year it was pretty early. Which is good I guess, cause CNY was short enough as it is, and everyone's returning home early and all. >.<>

Elder ones sorta settle down on the chairs behind. xD

We need the long red firecrackers for the atmosphere too!

Not to forget the altar and oranges!

Ended the lion dance leg with this. My favourite thing of all in Penang! ice blended sweetcorn! ♥

And that night we played fireworks~

CNY! I love it♥ This years one was way too short though. The holidays given was ridiculous, but at the very least we got to spend one whole day with each other♥ Anyway! as pernormal, first day was reunion dinner with the family. Where I got to wear my maxi dress!

Traditional Yee Sang dish... which I don't really eat. Other then the crunchy bits, I really have no fondness for the dish. >.<

Suckling pig! Though it was so oily, i barely ate a couple of pieces.

My uncle loves it though. meat eater. xD

And thats all you get left. Half a head completely skinned. It actually looks pretty creepy. xD

Some Yin Yang prawn thing. I loved this! Mainly cause the mayonnaise one had already peeled prawns, hence saving me the trouble. xP I tend to either find peeled prawns, or get someone to peel it for me. I hate peeling prawns. Dx

Dessert! Yes I didn't take pictures of all the dishes. Too lazy. But I loved the dessert! The round, fried ones especially. It was fried red-bean balls, but inside it had a tiny piece of banana, which complemented the flavors wonderfully!

Next day was first day of CNY! Which I traditionally go back to my gramma's place in Penang. But first! Lunch at stepdaddy's place. Omnomnom!

And then we has complementary hug before the angpows are given. The hug is turning in to a once in a year thing. xD

Angpaos! They get prettier each year, I swear.

My favourite! There were two bunny angpaus, both from my momma. Cause I insisted she gave them to me, so she split my money in to two packets. xP

The dog looking miserable. No my golden monster didn't supersize overnight, thats his cousin Bob the Retriever...w ho hates cameras, hence why I hardly have any pictures of him here. But thats beside the point. Thats CNY day 1 for you! Also because I'm lazy, hence short post. Sleeping time. But more tomorrow! I hope. :p

Random slew of pictures again, getting rid of backlog before CNY comes up. xD Speaking of which, reunion dinner tonight! And going back to Penang tomorrow. Although there's no net there. D: But is all right! Has family, and all is well. ^_^

Pa jeon for lunch! But I added mayo and chilli and mustard for taste... and it somehow looks more like okonomiyaki now. xD

Brownie with ice cream at dessert bar! I prefer their old version though. D: The one served in a glass.

This wasn't half too bad. I loved the mash potatoes!♥

Oh, I've been addicted to these. I had a full bottle one morning.

And that was all thats left in the afternoon. By night it was all gone. Yes, addicted it is. xD

Xiao Fei Yang! Some random steamboat restaurant. But oh my god. The soup. Was. So. Damn. Good. So good♥

Their handmade noodles were really good too. Texture and all was perfect.

Plus, did I mention the soup was really really really really good? xD
